OK, let's get back to the importance of this day. I've been receiving discount emails from many companies that say I should buy the "perfect" gift for my mother from them. Well, if I had the chance to see my mother in person maybe I would but, in my opinion customized gifts are the best gifts for anyone. I mean if you know the person and their tastes then I think preparing a basket full of their loved items is a nice gesture. Also, for Mother's Day you can prepare the most delicious breakfast to your mother if you live with her. I believe that is one of the sweetest presents. Unfortunately, now that we are all grown up and don't live with our mothers anymore the best gift is to call them and tell them how much you love them. We can buy presents to them any time we want but it is the love that means the most to our mothers. Here is what we say to our mothers at different ages. I've been going through them one by one, I think you'll be able to relate to them too.
At age 13: "What is it Mom!"
At age 16: "Don't bother me Mom!"
At age 18: "I want to leave this house!"
At age 25: "You were right Mother"
At age 30: "I want to go back to my Mother's house"
At age 50: ".......I don't want to lose my Mother"
At age 70: "If my Mother were here she would do anything for me"
We only have 1 Mother, we shouldn't upset them in anyway. Happy Mother's Day to every Mother out there!
